HAWAIIAN PIZZA RECIPE


Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Pizza dough from grocery bakery section
  • 1/3 Cup Low Sodium Tomato Sauce Canned
  • 1 1/2 Cups Mozzarella Cheese Shredded
  • 4 Slices Canadian Bacon chopped, or thickly sliced deli ham
  • 3 Slices Thick cut bacon cooked crisply and chopped
  • 14 Ounces Pineapple Diced, I usually use well drained canned pineapple

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Ideally you want to put your baking stone or an upside down baking tray in the oven to heat.
  2. Sprinkle some cornmeal or flour on parchment paper and stretch your dough into a rough circle or rectangle, about 12" X 15".  If the dough keeps springing back, walk away for about 10 minutes to let the dough rest, it will stretch better after letting it sit.
  3. Spread tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving about 1/2" rim.
  4. Top with cheese, Canadian bacon, cooked regular bacon and well drained pineapple.  You may want to dab the pineapple with a paper towel to dry it even more. 
  5. Pull the baking stone or baking tray out of the oven, place the parchment paper with pizza on top and pop back into the oven for about 15 minutes or until it's golden and the cheese is melted.
